Traveling from Baltimore to Los Angeles and wanting to experience Texas in the best way I know how, I saw the sign for Big Vern's on I-40 and KNEW I had to stop here and try their steak. I ordered the 10 oz. New York Strip with their potato casserole and it was out of this world! Cooked perfectly and flavored so well that you don't need to add any extra salt, pepper or steak sauce. The staff was incredibly nice and the service was prompt. I 100% recommend this place if you want to try some true Texas steak :)

I just ate a Fantastic Steak @ Big Vern's Steakhouse in Shamrock, TX! We ate in the Bar & the Service was Great! It's hard to get a good rare steak where I'm from, so this was a real treat for me! Plus Having a Really Huge Mug a Beer is a Great way to end the night!

Wow! This has to be one of the best steakhouses in the Texas Panhandle. We own a storm chasing tour company and we will definitely bring our chase groups here when in the area..
